Bejeweled Blitz Tips & Info - Facebook Game

Bejeweled Blitz is originally a Facebook application which is developed and published by PopCap Games.
It soon expanded into a downloadable game, based on the then-in-development Bejeweled 3 engine, due to popularity of the differences from Bejeweled 2and its new graphics. 

  
                                                                                                                   

 

Tips

• New to the game, you don't need to click both of the gems you wish to move, click the first and drag it across. This also allows you to get to the next move faster as you're already on the way from the initial drag.

• Never watch the gems dropping, move your mouse and eyes to a different area, you'll be up to blazing speed faster - It's quite possible to get 3 blazing speeds in your minute, possibly more.

• If you have Hypercubes or Flashing Gems, try and wait until your speed is high (1,000) before detonating them. You'll get 1,000 per gem destroyed, so 16,000 points from the L or T gems, and 9,000 from the other flashing gem, and almost countless from a hypercube if you get the colour right... But don't be fooled by the reds, they appear (as they are a brighter colour) as if they are all over the board, but the likelihood is that they aren't, it's more an optical illusion.

• Hint Botton - as long as you are quick, your running speed score can be kept, so the split second you hit the button, move your eyes back to cover the whole board, remember that the chances are the hint will be at the top, so while making that move, really scan the lower gems.

• you can make two matches before the first one is finished matching. Hard to explain really how this works. But think of a place where you need to swap a gem to make another match. You don't need to wait till the other match is done before swapping the other gem.

• One of the easiest ways to clear the board is to get two hypercubes together and use them on each other - then boom! All the gems explode!
  
  Another way to clear the board is to use a Phoenix Gem on a hypercube - that makes all the gems disappear too!
