Happy Island Strategy - Facebook Game

Happy Island is a Facebook game created by CrowdStar. This Happy Island strategy guide will explain how to play Happy Island,
how to win lots of money, and cool Happy Island tips to advance in the game. We will be updating this Happy Island guide frequently as CrowdStar rolls out new game features. Let us know if we are missing any top tips or worth while strategies and we will incorporate them next time we update the guide.

• Getting started in Happy Island – After installing your Happy Island game, you will see a few pop ups that will get you started with the game. The pop ups will tell you to click the Shop icon and select an attraction for your island. Then you are free to move about on your own.

• Buying Happy Island attractions – It is important that you add attractions to your island as often as you can. The more attractions you have, the more visitors you will get. That means you will earn more money. To buy attractions, you will need to click the Shop icon in the bottom left corner of your game. When the store opens, click the Attractions tab at the top. Use the arrows to scroll through the store to see what you have to choose from. As of right now, all of the attractions are unlocked. You can purchase any of the attractions as long as you have the money. The further you scroll, the higher the attractions become. Once you have found an attraction you want to purchase, click the attraction. Then place the attraction on anywhere on your island by clicking your mouse.

• Moving Happy Island items – If you want to rearrange your island, you can do so by moving your attractions. To move an attraction, you will need to click the attraction. You will then see a box open and you will need to click the Move button in the box. Then click the spot you want to move the attraction too. The attraction will then be placed in the new spot.

• Selling Happy Island items – If you no longer want an item and would like to sell it, you can. To sell an item, click the item and click the Sell button in the box. A new box will open and show you how much you will earn for selling the item. If you still want to sell it, click the green checkmark. If you have changed your mind, click the red X.

• Rotating Happy Island items – You can also rotate your items in Happy Island. To rotate an item, click the item. When the box opens, click the Flip button. Your item will then be flipped. You can only flip decorations. You cannot flip attractions.

• Buying Happy Island decorations – Adding decorations to your island is a nice way to build it up. The decorations for the island is pretty cheap. To buy decorations, click the Shop button. Then click the Decorations tab at the top of the box. That will display your decorations. Click a decoration you want to buy. Then place the decoration where you want it on your island. You can then open the store and purchase more decorations if you want.

• Music and sounds – If you are tired of hearing the music and sounds play in the background, you can easily turn them off. On the left side of your game, you will see the sound icon and the music icon. Click each icon one time to turn them off. Once they are turned off, they will turn black in color. If you want to turn them on again, click them again.

• Zooming in / out – If you need to zoom in or out of your game, you can do so using the zoom bar on the left side of your game. Click the plus sign to zoom into your game and click the minus sign to zoom out of your game.

• Adding Happy Island friends – It is important that you have neighbors. Having neighbors will allow you to earn more coins and they can send your gifts to help you build up your island. Adding neighbors is done by inviting people to play the game. Any of your friends that play the game will automatically be added as your neighbors. You do not have to send them neighbor invites.

• Visiting Happy Island neighbors – You should visit your neighbors often to earn coins. To visit your neighbors, you will need to click a neighbor in the bottom panel of your game. Once you click the neighbor, you will be redirected to their island.

• Helping your neighbors – Helping your neighbors once you have reached their island will earn you coins. To earn coins, you can click the trash in their water and click the treasure chest. You can also help your neighbors out by sending them gifts. That will help them build up their island.

• Inviting Happy Island friends – You can invite people to play the game to get more neighbors. If you invite someone to play and they accept, they automatically become your neighbors. To invite someone, click the Invite Friends tab at the top of your game. Then click the friends that you want to invite. Click the Send button at the bottom of the window to send the request. When the box opens, click the Send button in that box and your request will be sent.

• How to earn Happy Island coins – There are a few different ways to earn coins in Happy Island. Below you will find a list of these ways.

• Visit your neighbors – Visiting your neighbors and clicking the trash in their water will earn you coins. You can also click the treasure chest to earn coins.
• Collecting coins from your buildings – When your buildings become 2/3 full, you can click the coin bag and collect coins.
• Cleaning up your island – If you have trash in your water or on your island, you can click it to clean your island up. Cleaning your island will earn you coins.
• Selling Happy Island decorations – If you are in need of coins or have decorations you no longer want, you can sell your decorations to earn coins.

• Coins not being added to total – If you have visited neighbors or done other things to earn coins, they may not be added to your total amount of coins. The reason for that is, it’s a bug. I know it totally stinks when you do things to earn coins and you are not credited for them. Players have sent the developers messages letting them know, so for now, we must wait it out.

• Facebook Credits in Happy Island – Facebook credits are used to do an instant upgrade in the Happy Island game. You can purchase these credits by clicking a building, choosing Upgrade, and then clicking Instant Upgrade. A new box will open and you will need to select your option for payment and how many credits you want to buy. Then you can use however many credits is needed for that instant upgrade.

• How to earn Happy Island experience points – It is important for you to earn as many XP points as you can in Happy Island. Earning these points will level you up in the game. Read the below to find out ways you can earn XP Points.

• Clicking treasure chests – Clicking your friends’ treasure chests will earn you XP points.
• Cleaning trash – Cleaning trash will also earn you XP Points.
• Collecting coins – When you collect coins, you will receive XP Points.
• Selling decorations – Selling your decorations will also earn you XP Points.

• Happy Island levels – Leveling up in Happy Island is done by earning experience (XP) points. Since this is a fairly new game with not many options, it is a little hard to level up. Over time you will. Visit your neighbors often and collect your coins when they are ready to earn XP points. This is about the quickest way to earn XP points. When you level up, you will be able to buy more attractions. Although the attractions are not locked, you can only purchase so many on each level.

• Upgrading your island – The upgrading of the island is out of your control. These upgrades come automatically when you climb levels. On what level you will get your first upgrade is unknown at this time. However, we will update this guide as soon as that information is available.

• Sending Happy Island gifts – Sending gifts in Happy Island is a great way to help your friends out. This will help your friends with the building of their island and they may feel nice enough to send you gifts in return. To send a gift in Happy Island, click the Free Gifts tab at the top of your game. Click the gift that you want to send and click the Send button. Then select the friends on the next page that you want to send the gift too. Click the Send button on that page and a box will open. You will need to complete the gift sending by clicking the Send button in that box. Your gift will now be sent to the friends you chose.

• Accepting Happy Island gifts – If someone has sent you a gift, you will see that gift link in the Request section of Facebook. If you have a lot of request, you will have to click the See All link to see all of them. Once you are on that page, you can browse through the request to see if you have any Happy Island gifts waiting. If you do, click the Accept button next to the gift. On the following page, you will be asked if you have more gifts. If you do not, click the No button and you will be redirected to your game. If you do, click the Yes button and you will be carried back to your gift page where you can accept another gift. Once you have all of your gifts accepted and you are back in your game, you will see that the gifts have been placed on your island. You can move these gifts by clicking on them and clicking the Move option.

• Bookmarking Happy Island – If you want to have easy access to Happy Island, consider bookmarking the game. To bookmark it, click the Add Bookmark button at the top of your game. When the box opens, click the Add Bookmark button and the game will be bookmarked.

• What is the tourist bar? – In the top right corner of your game, you will see a Tourist Bar. This bar lets you know how many people are currently visiting your island.

• Upgrading Happy Island attractions – It is important that you upgrade your attractions when you can. Upgrading the attractions will attract more tourists. In turn, you will earn more coins. To do an upgrade, you will need to click the attraction you want to upgrade. Then click the Upgrade button in the box that pops up. A new box will open and tell you all about the upgrade. You can then click to upgrade the attraction or choose not to upgrade it.

• Find tourist info – You can find out information on your tourists by clicking them. Once you click on them, you will see a box open and in this box you will see their mood, how far the walked, and how much money they have spent.

• Moving your landing strip – In the Happy Island game, you can also move your landing strip for your airplane. You can move it anywhere that a green strip appears below it. To move it, click the landing strip and click the Move button. Then move your mouse to where you want to move it and click your mouse. There must be a green strip below the landing strip before you can place it. This green strip is letting you know that you have chosen a large enough place for the landing strip.

• Build up your island – Expand your island by adding more buildings and fun attractions. The more buildings and attractions you have the more time the tourists will spend vacationing at your island and spending money.

• Visit Happy Island neighbors – Visiting your Happy Island friends isn’t just a nice thing to do but it’s a great way to earn Happy Island coins and experience points. This is particularly important in the beginning of the game when you’re not earning very much and you want to attain new Happy Island levels.

• Help Happy Island neighbors – By sending gifts and assisting your Happy Island friends, you’re helping yourself too. That is, you earn experience points and coins by visiting their islands and clicking on their treasure boxes. Oh, and don’t forget, what goes around comes around; if you help them they are more apt to assist you and send you gifts when you need it.

• Don’t post too often – While playing Happy Island you’ll be asked to post announcements about your game accomplishments. Try not to do this too often as it can be a source of irritation by your Facebook friends. You should really only post such announcements to your Facebook profile when it is a huge accomplishment. You can actually turn off these pop up notifications by changing your Facebook settings. • Switch browsers – Sometimes your browser may slow down or completely freeze. If this is happening frequently you might try using a lighter browser like Opera or Google Chrome which load pages much quicker and take up less resources on your computer than traditional browsers.

• Don’t be rude when befriending – Adding Happy Island friends is an important part of the game. When you send out a Happy Island invite make sure you include a simple message like “Happy Island” or “Happy Island add” to tell the recipient why you are inviting them to be your Facebook friend.
