CityVille Game And Bonus Strategy - Facebook Game

The top most strategy to succeed with the Cityville is having as many neighbor cities as possible.
You can earn more money, coins, XP, reputation, hearts, goods and everything imaginable in the context of the game because with more friends you have more places to work and get work from. So just go and invite all your friends to join you in Cityville even if they don't regularly play because if they don't play on time you'll have the chance to finish the work in their city to collect extra money.

Plant your crops strictly keeping in mind the time you can devote that day to the Cityville. If you have played Farmville then you must be aware of what I am talking about. Basically the purpose behind the concept is that every crop takes a specific amount of time to harvest and if you miss harvesting a crop on time it will get withered resulting in loss of money and time. You can harvest a crop only once and costlier crops produce more goods. But farming is just one aspect of Cityville as the game also includes business activities to execute. Don't forget buying more plots for your crops.

Your business in Cityville produces wealth required to oil your economy and as a mayor of the city growth of the city is all that you need and aim for. Make sure to provide required amount of goods to the businesses on time else your business operations will suffer. Expand your business operations to the neighbors' cities by setting up franchises on their land. Let your neighbors build their business franchises on your land so make sure you have empty lot to offer. Build buildings and stores for the rapid and continuous growth of your city.

With Cityville it is highly recommended to create a balance between your business and crops. Without enough crops you will not be able to supply enough goods to your business so make sure you keep investing just the right amount of your wealth in crops production, At the same time, growth and performance of your business shapes the face of your city so keep building and expanding it.

We have a lot of people writing a lot of articles about the best business and the best housing, etc, etc. And that’s great! I love reading it all and seeing people care about the game. So I decided to post my strategy ideas and see what everyone thinks.

BONUS / DOOBER
This is where so many people are leaving money on table. People really need to understand this more.

The basics:
Your base Doober/Bonus value is based on your level. You start with 2 coins at level 1 and go up by 2 coins every odd level you gain, and 1 coin every even level you gain. Here’s a condensed chart.

Then as you click on Coins, Collectibles, XP, and Energy drops your Bonus level increases and you earn a multipler to that base coin level. If you manange to get 17 clicks in quick unison you get 10x your base as bonus coins. At level 50 your base is 75 coins, so 17 clicks equals an extra 750 coins. This maxes out at 32 clicks for 55x coins and then restarts the sequence.
Most items in your city you click on are going to give you 2 clicks. Typically everything is an XP item and a Coin/Goods item. If you’re luck you get a Energy item, a Collectible, or possibly your coins will break down into several Goods/Coins.

It’s very easy to leave a LOT of coins behind with sloppy clicking.
Take people who are min/maxing a single business. Typically these players are getting their goods from the Charlieville train and then harvesting 1 business. If you time it to accept your goods and click the business at the same time that is 5 clicks right there. Bonus level 1. At level 50 this is 75 coins. Not that much, but how often are you doing this train / business motion in a day? Your probably leaving 100s if not 1000s of coins just in this motion and that is on a level 1 bonus.

So how do we get to Masterful and it’s 55x Bonus / 4125 coins?
We need 32 clicks. With an average of 2 clicks per harvest (Goods/Coins and an XP drop) that is 16 harvets. If it did take you 16 harvests just to get the bonus you are spending over half your energy on just one long motion to make 4,125 coins.

Let’s break it down a little more.
First off we are going to be using the train to Charlieville. This is a BEAST. Forgot it’s insanely high cost to good ratio this baby gives you 300 goods in just 5 minutes with a ZERO energy cost. ZERO! Plus it drops those 300 goods off in nice 100 per bundles for our first 3 clicks.

CLICK TOTAL: 3
ENERGY TOTAL: 0

Our actual money makers. Businesses. Tower Eats. It’s crazy expensive and will take you days and days and days to pay off but it is the best business period. You might be in the black before me with your Cinema but long term my profitability is higher. PERIOD. BUT it is crazy expensive and we don’t want to sit on our butts waiting to get to a million each time so I will base this off of Cinemas and just know that as soon as you can, SWITCH THEM OUT FOR TOWER EATS.

I’m not going to go into deco bonuses in this thread. There are a LOT of threads about this already but if you only use coin items (forget the e-mail fountain for now) you can get 248% bonus to each business. If all your businesses get the same bonus each Cinema will cost 140 goods and bring in 2,876 coins.

Let’s get crazy and do a 8 business grid that is 4 on top of 4 sharing deco. Like this:

First off this takes 15 expansions just to lay out. Yeah 15. Min-maxing isn’t easy folks.
Footnote: My numbers are slightly higher in areas because I bought a Tennis Court and I have the e-mail Fountain. I don’t actually have it completed myself. I have 4 grids done and am waiting for Zoning Permits to expand and I want my next business to be another Tower Eats. Plus i want to bounce it around some more before I commit this much resourses.
Ok so we are harvesting 8 businesses requiring a total of 1120 goods to run and producing 23,008 coins. When harvesting 8 businesses you SHOULD get a collectible out of it. But there is NO guarantee so we aren’t going to count on that click. So we will get 16 click which costed us 8 energy.

CLICK TOTAL: 19 (Maybe more with energy drops and collectibles)
ENERGY TOTAL: 8

The Secret Weapon: Carousel. An insane 77.78 Population per grid in a 3×3 size. I have 7 Carousels and growing.

Why so many? It’s a BONUS beast. Every 24 hours you get 7 to 8 clicks towards your Bonus level when you want it. 5 x 50 coins, 1 x 1 or 2 XP, and 1 or 2 energy. Not only are you getting 7 or 8 clicks but it’s entirely free because you are guaranteed 1 energy back and have a 50/50 chance of gaining an energy.

CLICK TOTAL: 26
ENERGY TOTAL: 8 (50/50 its 7 and you gained an energy)

So how are we going to get 1,120 goods for this venture every time? 300 from Charlieville that is already in the plan. So we need to get 820 more goods. All of this takes time to set up and time for your little people to shop so I would run another train to Charlieville in the middle. That’s 300 more goods. So 520 needed. If you have 10 more minutes to run the train 2 more times you’re better off. I’m going to be 100% honest with you and let you know that I ABHOR the idea of spending clicks on crops. It’s wastes energy pure and simple.

But how are we going to get our last 6 clicks
Option 1.) The solution is 1 day crops/boats and having your neighbors harvest them for you. The 1 day boat to Paris produces 137 goods while the 1 day Corn products 110 goods. I prefer the crops and only because it is easier to lay them out in your city in nice groups of 5 for neighbors to click. Since they are 1 day grow time just make sure you have enough to cover the number of times you want to do this in a day.

Option 2.) If you can’t get a 5 click crop neighbor then housing or other businesses is ok too, it just doesn’t help you with the goods gap. But it gets you the clicks we need.

Option 3.) You could, GASP, click 2 or 3 crops yourself. It helps with goods and with just 2 extra clicks from energy or collectibles above, you might only be 4 clicks shy.

Option 4.)a second Carousel. With only being able to use them once every 24 hours this is a last resort but it is there.

It’s a lot to think about.
My top bonus is 335% right now with a Tennis Court. Every harvest besides that one feels like I am losing money (because I am). I know I am spending way too much time clicking every 4 or 5 minutes and if I have to give up 1,500 coins to get 4,000+ back from Masterful AND make it so I don’t need to stay glued to the monitor it’s probably worth it.

Thoughts? Ideas?

A BONUS SECTION ON HOUSING
There are quite a few people pushing the Terraced Brownstone as the best building because of cost versus reward. Outside of things that cost you cash, and thusly your real money, people just should NOT be looking at initial cost.

Yes something may take you 500 harvests to pay back and something else may only take you 4 but you need to really look at things in the LONG TERM. If you play this game for any length EVERYTHING will be paid back.

Technically the best house is the Luxury Apartments because it packs 22.22 people per grid. Unfortunately its just a 5% chance every 5 days to get it so we have to pass it by. So forget about Brownstones, everyone should be buying the Colonial Chalet. It packs 13.33 people per grid space almost doubling the Terranced Brownstone.

Making money with Housing is simply not what it is there for. If you harvest the Brownstone PERFECTLY for a day you’ll make a measly 450 coins. If you had unlimited energy and patience, the Newlywed House harvested perfectly every 5 minutes for an entire day only gets you 3,456, hopefully most of us are getting that every harvest with our Cinema or Tower Eats. I simply don’t see a reason to housing except trying to pack the most people into the least amount of space.
