Ravenshire Castle. Sneak past your rivals and restore glory to your Kingdom.

Navigating the Screen

At the top of the screen you will find your current level and experience, your energy, coin balance, shire stuff balance, and your castle rank.

  • On the left side of the screen you will find your current active quests.
  • On the right side of the screen you will find the game settings.

  • At the bottom of the screen you will find your rivals, neighbors, powers, tools, storage, the cancel action button, your shoppe, and map.
Terminology
  • Coins: Coins are the currency in Ravenshire Castle. Coins are used to purchase new rooms and items for your castle. You earn coins by collecting them from items in your castle, completing quests, successfully sneaking into rivals castles, and helping out your neighbors
  • Shire Stuff: Shire stuff is the premium currency in Ravenshire Castle. Shire stuff can be used to skip portions of quests, purchase hard to find resources, and purchase premium items. Shire stuff can be purchased using Facebook credits.
  • Energy: Energy is necessary to complete actions. Everything you do (planting, harvesting, collecting, sneaking) will use at least one energy point. Once you are out of energy you will either need to use an energy replenishing item or wait for your energy to replenish over time.
  • Experience: As you complete tasks and quests you will earn experience. Once you’ve earned enough experience you will level up. Leveling up will unlock new items and quests.
  • Castle Rank: Your castle rank shows you the highest achievement of your castle. To increase your castle rank you will need to purchase items for your castle. You can hover over the castle rank bar to see how many points you need to level up your castle rank.
Rivals: Clicking on the rival button at the bottom of the screen will open your rival window. From here you can sneak into a rivals castle and loot it.

  • Sneaking: Sneaking allows you to sneak into rivals (or friends) castles and search them for treasures. Be sure to avoid being detected or the guards will come after you and you could end up leaving empty handed.
  • Gardening: Gardening is a great way to earn some extra coins as well as some resources. You will need to purchase farm plots in the shoppe and then click on them to choose your crops. Crops grow over time but if you leave them for too long they will wither and die. Once a crop is ready to harvest, click on it to collect the crops and coins.
  • Resources: You will be building numerous items for you castle and all these items require specific resources. You can find some resources simply by cleaning up the land surrounding your castle. Some resources come from growing specific plants or successfully sneaking into castles and finding specific treasures. You can also request items from friends and/or purchase them using shire stuff.
Storage: Here you will find any items you have stowed away and any resources you have collected.
Map: Clicking on the map icon at the bottom of the screen will open up the game map. Here you can sneak into plot related castles. These castles will have more guards roaming their halls, but they also have more items to loot.

    • Silver Gator Crests: Silver gator crests are earned by sneaking into any of Baron Brak’s castles. They are used to complete the building of certain items in the game.
    • Gold Player Crests: Gold player crests are earned by sneaking into other players castles. They are used to complete the building of certain items in the game.
    • Shoppe: The shoppe is where you will find all the items you will need to purchase to make your castle spectacular.

Rooms: Rooms allow you to expand your castle. Currently each room requires the completion of a quest to unlock.
Stations: Stations are items that benefit your castle, such as guard posts and berry pots for your garden. Similar to rooms, these items are unlocked by completing quests.
Treasures: Treasures are unique items that you can build in your castle. They are unlocked by completing specific quests.

Decos: Decos are decoration items. Under this tab you can purchase any number of items to personalize your castle and raise your castle rank.

Outdoors: The outdoors tab is where you will find outdoor decorations, gardening items, flowers, and dragons that you can raise.

Specials: Under the special tab you can purchase items to aid you when sneaking into castles, energy items, and coins. All items under this tab require shire stuff to purchase.

Building and Managing Your Castle and Grounds
    • When you first begin the game you will want to start by expanding your castle a bit.
    • The first room you will be building is your castles garden.
    • To purchase a garden, click on the shoppe button located at the bottom of your screen.
    • Click on the rooms tab to open the rooms menu.
    • The garden should be the only room available at this time. Select it and you will be taken back to your main screen.
    • You will need to place the garden on the screen. It can be placed inside or outside the castle walls but you need to make sure there is room for it.
    • While moving the room around the screen you will notice that the grid marks turn green or red depending on if an item is the way of the placement.
    • Once you get all the grid marks green you can place the room.
Click to finalize your purchase. If you wish to cancel the purchase you can click the x at the bottom of the screen.

    • If you wish to move the room at a later time, select the tool button at the bottom of the screen and then select the move button.
    • Click on the item associated with the room (i.e. the throne in the throne room or the arch in the garden).

    • A little toolbar will appear above the item. If you click on the heart you will be able to move just the item, if you click on the room icon you will be able to move the entire room.
    • If you choose to move the whole room, be sure to check your storage afterwards. Items that couldn’t move with the room can be found there.

    • Items that represent the room (i.e. the throne in the throne room or the arch in the garden) will earn coins over time. When it’s time to collect the coins there will be an icon above the item. Click on it to collect your coins. Please note that if you have been robbed you will need to restore the item before it will begin earning coins again.
    • Once you’ve built your garden you will be able to purchase a jewel berry pot station to place in it.
    • You can purchase the jewel berry pot in the shoppe under the station tab.
    • Purchase and place a pot in your garden.
    • Click on the pot to select the type of berries to grow in it.
    • The different types of berries will grow different types of fairies. Fairies are used to build items in your castle.
    • Select the berries you wish to grow and they will be placed in the pot. If you have multiple pots you can place the same berries in all of them or click the x at the bottom of the screen and then select a different berry to grow.
    • To find out what fairy a berry plant grows, hover your cursor over the berry in the shoppe menu. You can also see how long it will take the berry plant to grow.

    • Berries grow over time. Once they have matured they will need to be harvested fairly quickly or they will wither and die.
    • To harvest a plant all you need to do is click on it when it’s matured.
    • Once you have harvested your plant you can plant a new berry plant in the pot.
    • Gardening works in a similar fashion, only you will need to purchase farm plot and place them outside your castle walls.
    • Farm plots can be found in the shoppe under the outdoors tab. From there you will need to click on the sub-tab of crops.
    • Select the farm plots and place it on an open spot of land.

Click on the farm plot to select the type of plant you would like to grow.
    • When you harvest a plant you will gain coins, resources and experience.
    • Now it’s time to add some treasures to your castle.
    • Treasures can be purchased in the shoppe under the treasures tab.
    • Treasures unlock as you progress through the game and unlock new quests.
    • Select the treasure you wish to build and place it in your castle.

    • Click on it to build it.
    • Once built, treasures require specific resources and materials to complete.
    • Some of these resources are fairly easy to come by. Wood and stone can be collected from the trees and stones cluttering up the land around your castle.
    • Other items, such as fairies and plants, require that you plant certain items and harvest them.
    • Other items can be found occasionally when collecting other resources or you will need to request them from friends (i.e. vitalin).

    • Once you have collected all the items necessary to complete your treasure, click on the treasure and select complete now.
    Sneaking Into Castles
    • Now it’s time to sneak into a rivals castle.
    • Sneaking into a castle requires five energy points, so make sure you have enough. Don’t worry about having more energy than that as you will be given 15 energy points when you arrive at the castle.
    • Click on the rivals button to open the rivals menu, or click on a neighbor and select sneak.

This will open the power-up menu. If you have any power-ups you can choose to use them now. Otherwise, click on the sneak now button to be taken to their castle.

    • You will arrive outside the castle walls. There will be arrows at various points around the castle, these are the spots that you can enter the castle from.
    • Before you enter the castle, scope it out a bit. Areas that are outlined in yellow have npc’s in them. If they see you they will race to alert any guards that are in the castle.
    • Areas outlined in red are where you will find guards. Avoid guards at all costs because if they catch you they will throw you out of the castle.
    • If there are no guards in the castle, you don’t really need to worry about being caught since there is no one to throw you out. The npc’s will just run about searching for the non-existent guards.
    • Now it’s time to enter the castle. Enter the castle at an area that is not being patrolled at the moment.
    • Once you are inside the castle it’s time to start looting.
    • Every item (except rugs and unfinished items) can be searched and looted.
    • Click on items to begin searching them. If a guard or npc is coming your way you will want to quickly get away.
    • Clicking elsewhere on the screen will stop your search (don’t worry, your search progress is saved and you won’t have lost an energy point until it is finished).
    • Once you finish searching as item you will gain coins and sneak points. Earn enough sneak points and you will level up your sneaking.
    • You can also find trinkets in various items. Trinkets are used for building certain treasures.

You will notice that room items have multipliers above them. Looting these items will increase your score for your sneaking.

    • Once you have finished looting an area or run out of energy, click on the escape button at the bottom of the screen.
    • This will let you see your final score for your sneak attempt and see any rewards you may have earned.
    • Be warned. You can sneak into your friends and rivals castles and they can sneak into yours.

    • If someone has snuck into your castle you will see their profile picture at the spot the entered your castle.
    • Clicking on their picture will give you the option to watch their break in.

    • If they looted any items such as your throne or garden arch, those items will be black and have a skull above them.
    • You will need to restore these items by clicking on them so that they begin earning coins again.
    • Once you have unlocked the guard posts you will want to place them in your castle to protect your items.
